The Challenge
Managing multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP was becoming increasingly complex. Manual provisioning, inconsistent configurations, and lack of centralized monitoring were leading to costly downtime and slow incident response.
Our Approach
We developed Vortex Hub, an internal infrastructure management platform that automates provisioning, enforces configuration standards, and provides unified monitoring across all cloud providers. The system uses Terraform for infrastructure-as-code with custom Go operators.
Technical Architecture
- Terraform modules for reproducible infrastructure provisioning
- Custom Go operators for Kubernetes cluster management
- Prometheus and Grafana for unified multi-cloud monitoring
- Automated alerting with PagerDuty integration
- Policy-as-code enforcement with OPA Gatekeeper
Business Impact
Infrastructure costs were reduced by 42% through intelligent resource optimization. Deployment frequency increased from twice weekly to 15 times per day. Mean time to resolution dropped below 5 minutes with automated remediation workflows.
